What happens in my office, stays in my office

Normally my blogs are educational posts about aesthetic services and injectables, but today I’m diving into a deeper topic. Quite literally, a topic deeply rooted in my practice: emotions.

All-day, every day I hear my patients share personal stories as they update me about their lives. More often than I wish to admit, they're not sharing happy stories. They tell me about their nasty divorce or a recent breakup. Or they talk about current troubles in their marriage or a fight they had with a friend. Sometimes it’s tales about judgment or guilt, and other times it is sadness or anger.

As an empathetic person, I absorb what my patients tell me. I feel with them. Driving home each night, I reflect on the day and what I could have or should have said to help them in any way I can.

But - I think that's what makes me a great injector.

The relationships I share with each of my clients grow stronger at each appointment. They trust me and I trust them. I’m proud of this aspect of my business and I’m humbled by the beautiful people I know through my work.

Many of my patients tell me, "I feel so good after I leave your office!" GOOD - you deserve to! I always joke, “It’s almost like patients come here for therapy.” I try to promote calming energy and a space that’s open and welcoming for all.

Anyway, I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately, so here are my thoughts. Thanks in advance for hearing me out. I’d love to know what you think!

We’re more alike than we think

While all of my patients and their stories vary, many have similar underlying themes. It’s funny but it unites us in a way. It’s somehow comforting to know that many people around us are undergoing the same stresses, problems, and experiences. What I’m trying to say is that we’re all similar!

If you ever feel lonely, remember: You are not alone!

I joke about being a part-time aesthetic injector and full-time therapist, but it’s not a joke. I encourage anyone seeking a real therapist to find one!

Life’s troubles often bring people into my office

Don’t get me wrong. Many people waltz through my door simply seeking injectables for fun. However, I’ve found that it’s often life’s troubles that encourage people to seek out my aesthetic services in Philadelphia.

Moments of uncertainty and newfound (or dwelling) insecurities force us to look in the mirror. As we’re evaluating our situation - positive or negative - many of us need a confidence boost. Enter: aesthetic services.

Aesthetics heal us from the inside out

Aesthetics are not always about vanity. Sometimes they’re about bringing you back to YOU.

I like to think that I empower people every day because I help my clients feel their best. Yes, the immediate results are external, but the long-term results are deeper than that. Feeling better about our exterior helps us feel better internally.

Botox can help empower someone to move forward from a divorce, or maybe perkier lips will encourage you to break up with that jerk. We all have our reasons, and that’s okay!

If my injections can build confidence, I hope my words can support you emotionally.

I’m Jen and I’m here for YOU
